DIY Stain Remover

This is a simple and easy DIY stain remover that really works!  Maddoxx hates bibs, so he never wears one.  Which means his clothes are always covered in food – and stains.  My mom gave me this recipe and I tried it from the very first carrot stain Maddoxx had on his white onesie to his white jammies below.

You can still see a little bit of the spaghetti Maddoxx decide to wear instead of eat, and I think if I repeated the stain removal treatment, it would get it out completely (sometimes you have to do it twice for really tough stains like spaghetti sauce).

DIY Stain Remover

Ingredients

1 C. Hydrogen Peroxide
1/2 C. Blue Dawn Liquid Dish Soap (has to be Dawn brand!)
1/2 C. Baking Soda

Grab a glass jar and add all ingredients. Screw on lid and shake until all ingredients are mixed well. Dip an old toothbrush into the mixture and scrub into the stain.  I use quite a bit and really scrub with and against the grain of the fabric.  Let mixture sit on stain overnight.  Wash with regular laundry detergent.

Depending on the type of stain, repeat if the stain hasn’t completely come out.  I know I’ve tried lots of stain removers, but I really like this one and think it works great.  I hope you do too!
